Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team wrapped up the 2025 Liberty League Championship on Saturday in sixth-place with a point total of 675. The 400-yard freestyle relay team finishes fourth on Saturday and posted a season-best time.
Ithaca claimed the team title with a score of 1,700 and was followed by RPI (1,479.5), RIT (1,297), Skidmore (857), Vassar (675), Union (550), St. Lawrence (537.5), Clarkson (495), William Smith (352) and Bard (139).
For The Brewers
- The 400-yard freestyle relay team, which qualified first in Saturday's preliminary session, posted a fourth-place finish in the final heats. The team of Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ), Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ), Maya Luongo (Katonah, NY) and Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) posted a season-best time of 3:33.34 in the final.
- Wiener swam to a fourth-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle on Friday, touching out in a time of 17:56.18.
- Sophomore Anna Little (Irwin, PA) claimed the fourth position in the 200-yard breaststroke, recording a time of 2:23.40.
- McLaughlin, who posted a lifetime best swim in the preliminaries, turned in a strong swim for the Brewers in the 100-yard freestyle, placing seventh in a time of 53.07 seconds.
- Hoagland scored an 11th-place finish on Saturday in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:08.07.
- Lara Chebotarev (East Longmeadow, MA) finished a strong championship with a 12th-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:32.57.
- Luongo came home 12th in the 100-yard freestyle on Saturday, showing a time of 54.11 seconds.
- Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) finished the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:15.73, good for the 15th position.
- First Year Eva D'Addario (Baltimore, MD) was 20th for the Brewers in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:40.48.
- Fellow First Year Tia Spivey (Gate City, VA) swam to a 23rd-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle, coming home in a time of 19:50.95.
- Sophie Tran (Hillsborough, NJ) closed her first championship with a 24th-place swim in the 200-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 2:45.88.
