Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team wrapped up Day Two At the 2026 Liberty League Championship in fifth-place with a score of 406 points.
Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ) continued a standout championship meet with a runner-up finish in the 200-yard freestyle while the 'A' 200-yard freestyle relay posted a fifth-place swim.
Ithaca ranks first on the team leaderboard with 874 points and is followed by RPI (623), Skidmore (459), RIT (440), Vassar (406), Union (252), Clarkson (168), St. Lawrence (149), William Smith (144) and Bard (34).
For The Brewers
- A day after winning the 500-yard freestyle for the fourth straight year at the championship meet, Wiener posted a runner-up finish for Vassar in the 200-yard freestyle. Wiener took better than a second off of her prelim time in the event, touching out in the final in a time of 1:53.71.
- Fellow senior Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) was also in action in the 'A' final of the 200-yard freestyle and placed eighth overall with a personal best time of 1:56.50.
- Senior Lilly Masters (Bloomfield Village, MI) turned in a strong swim for the Brewers in the 'B' final of the 200-yard freestyle, claiming a 14th-place finish in a time of 1:58.34.
- Junior Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) was the top finisher in the 'B' final of the 100-yard butterfly Thursday night, claiming the ninth position with a season best time of 58.27 seconds.
- First Year Abigail Ford (Califon, NJ) took the 11th spot for the Brewers in the 100-yard butterfly, posting a time of 59.27 seconds.
- Senior Stephanie Norris (Santa Barbara, CA) rounded out a trio of Brewers in the 'B' final of the butterfly event with a 15th-place showing, finishing in a season-best time of 1:00.71.
- A pair of First Years turned in personal best times for Vassar on Thursday in the 400-yard individual medley.
- Izzy Holmes (New York, NY) was the top finisher in the 'B' final of the IM race, placing ninth overall in a personal best time of 4:47.89.
- Stella Petersen (Hockessin, DE) placed 13th for Vassar on Thursday in the IM with a personal best showing of 4:51.75.
- In the lone relay event of Thursday's final session, the quartet of McLaughlin, Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ), Wiener and Ford placed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle event in 1:37.66.
- All four legs of the 'A' relay went under 25 seconds, including a stellar anchor leg from Ford of 23.78 seconds.
- Vassar's 'B' relay in the event of Clare Baker (Lafayette, CA), Petersen, Alaina Desautels (Arlington, VA) and Masters finished 19th overall in 1:40.09.
