Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team rounded out the third day of events at the 2026 Liberty League Championship in fifth-place with 646.5 points. Four Brewers posted top-10 finishes Friday night, led by a runner-up finish from junior
Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) in the 200-yard butterfly.
Ithaca maintains the team leader through day three with 1,259 points and is followed by RPI (1,000.5), Skidmore (750.5), RIT (662.5), Vassar (646.5), Union (397), William Smith (312), St. Lawrence (301), Clarkson (280) and Bard (106).
For The Brewers
- Li highlighted the Friday night session with a runner-up finish in the 200-yard butterfly. Li took nearly a second off of Friday's prelim time, posting a finals time of 2:07.86.
- Also swimming in the 'A' final for the Brewers was First Year Izzy Holmes (New York, NY), who took the seventh position in a time of 2:16.06.
- Lara Chebotarev (East Longmeadow, MA) scored an eighth-place finish for Vassar swimming in the 'A' final of the 100-yard breaststroke, touching out in a time of 1:10.45.
- Stephanie Norris (Santa Barbara, CA) and Eva D'Addario (Baltimore, MD) competed in the 'C' final of the breaststroke and showed times of 1:12.96 and 1:14.02, good for the 20th and 21st positions overall.
- In the 100-yard backstroke, First Year Clare Baker (Lafayette, CA) took 10th-place for the Brewers improving a personal best from the prelims with a time of 59.27.
- Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ) came home in a tie for 11th-place in the backstroke race, touching out in a time of 59.61 second.
- Rounding out a trio in the finals of the 100-yard backstroke was Alaina Desautels (Alexandria, VA) who also improved a personal best from the prelim session with a finals swim of 1:02.31.
- The finals session started in strong fashion for the Brewers with the quartet of Baker, Abigail Ford (Califon, NJ), Li and Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) placing fifth in the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:50.79.
- Vassar's 'B' entry in the medley relay of Desautels, Chebotarev, Holmes and Lilly Masters (Bloomfield Village, MI) finished 21st overall in 1:53.26.
- In the final even of the night, the 800-yard freestyle team of Hoagland, Masters, McLaughlin and Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ) swam to a fourth-place finish with a time of 7:51.00.
- The Brewers' second entry of Stella Petersen (Hockessin, DE), Holmes, D'Addario and Li recorded a 20th-place finish in 8:21.17.

- Vassar rounds out the championship on Saturday starting with preliminary swims beginning at 10:00 a.m.
