Vassar's Office of Athletics Communications promotes and publicizes, on both a national and international level, each of Vassar's 25 intercollegiate NCAA varsity, as well as four varsity club sports, that compete on the Division III level as a member of the Liberty League, United Volleyball Conference and Seven Sisters. The primary responsibility of Athletics Communications to disseminate information to members of both the print and electronic media as well institutions that Vassar competes against. Among Athletics Communications' many varied duties are press/media relations, editorial releases and feature stories, game and special event programs, newsletters, statistical maintenance and record keeping, web-content management and collaborative work with Vassar's Office of Communications and Office of Development Communications.

ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS SPORT INFORMATION ONLINE FORM:
If you are a student-athlete at Vassar College, we ask that you please fill out the following questionnaire upon your arrival, and again if you request any specific changes during your tenure.You can be as detailed or non-detailed as you want. The more information you provide, the more that we can put in your bio. We do ask that first-year student-athletes and returning student-athletes fill out the form before the beginning of each academic year, as information may have changed or is in need of updating. INTERVIEW POLICY:
All interviews should be coordinated through the athletic communications office. Players and coaches are available to media throughout the week, but please allow 24 hours notice. Post game interviews are coordinated following the event and can be conducted on the fields/court or outside the locker rooms following a cool down period.

MEDIA CREDENTIALS:
Please contact the athletic media relations office in advance if you are planning to attend a game and would like a seat in the press areas at any of our facilities.

PHOTO POLICY:
Vassar College does require that you obtain a sideline pass in order to shoot any athletic event held at the College. Please contact the athletic communications office at least 24 hours in advance to reserve a sideline pass. ONLY PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS shooting for Vassar College, the visiting school or approved media outlets will be issued a sideline pass and the College reserves the right to revoke photography privileges based upon sideline conduct during the game. Pursuant to NCAA regulations and this Policy, the field level and/or "sideline" area is strictly reserved for players, coaches, and for those who are performing a service associated with action on the field of play and for administration of the game. Pursuant to NCAA regulations and this Policy, members of the general public are not permitted at field level or on the playing field at any time. The College reserves the right to remove from the sideline or field level any individuals not possessing a valid credential.

Credentials issued DO NOT grant access to team bench areas. Those with credentials are permitted to take photos on the sideline nearest to the bleachers/press box. For additional safety, those with credentials are not allowed in the end lines.

Violation of this policy can result in game management staff issuing a warning, revoking sideline credentials, and/or ejecting violators from the venue.

SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY:
Playing and competing for Vassar College is a privilege, not a right. Student-athletes at VC are held in high regard and are considered as role models in the community. It is imperative that student-athletes represent their teams and College in a positive manner at all times.Social network sites such as Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Threads and other digital platforms have increased in popularity and are used by student-athletes at Vassar College. Participation in such networks has both positive appeal and potentially negative consequences. It is important that Vassar College student-athletes be aware of these consequences and exercise appropriate caution if they choose to participate.Full social media policy is HERE.

TELEVISION/RADIO POLICY:
If you wish to provide television or radio coverage of an athletic event at Vassar College, please contact the athletic media relations staff at least 24 hours prior to the event. Phone lines and internet connections are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at most of our athletic facilities.
