Trio Of Brewers Swim Into ‘A’ Finals In Friday Preliminary Session At Liberty League Championship

Li, Holmes, Chebotarev qualify for ‘A’ finals Friday evening

Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team continued a strong Liberty League Championship Friday morning with eight qualifying for Friday's finals session. Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) led the way with a second-place qualifying time in the 200-yard butterfly.

Li led two swimmers to qualify in the top-eight Friday morning, posting the second quickest qualifying time in the 200-yard butterfly with a mark of 2:08.58.
First Year Izzy Holmes (New York, NY) will join Li in the 'A' final of the butterfly event, swimming a time of 2:16.71.
Lara Chebotarev (East Longmeadow, MA) will compete in the 'A' final of the 100-yard breaststroke for the Brewers after qualifying eighth with a time of 1:09.37.
Eva D'Addario (Baltimore, MD) and Stephanie Norris (Santa Barbara, CA) will swim in the 'C' final of the breaststroke event Friday evening. D'Addario touched out in a personal best time of 1:13.34 with Norris touching out in 1:13.82.
Senior Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ) qualified 12^th in the 100-yard backstroke with a personal best time of 59.74 seconds.
Clare Baker (Lafayette, CA) followed closely behind Hoagland with a time of 59.83 seconds.
First Year Alaina Desautels (Alexandria, VA) swam a personal best time of 1:02.41, good for a spot in the 'C' final Friday night.
