Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Men's Swimming and Diving team closed out the 2025 Liberty League Championship in strong fashion, setting two school records on Saturday on its way to a sixth-place finish with 564 points. The 400-yard freestyle relay team and
Lucas Jauregui (Barrington, RI) each set school standards on the final day of events.
RIT won the league crown with 1,688 points and was followed by Ithaca (1,524), RPI (1,348), Clarkson (882), Skidmore (850), Vassar (564), Union (356), Hobart (217), St. Lawrence (194) and Bard (141).
For The Brewers
- The 400-yard freestyle team became the fourth relay squad to set a school record at the 2025 Championship meet.
- The team of Jauregui, Eli House (Oneonta, NY), Mike Seaton (Hoboken, NJ) and Hayden Ehrenfeld (Long Beach, CA) swam a new record time of 3:08.41, clipping the previous mark of 3:08.76 set in 2022.
- As part of the relay record, Jauregui set a new standard in the 100-yard freestyle, posting a leg of 46.66 seconds, topping his own mark of 46.77 set at last season's championship.
- Individually, Seaton recorded a 10th-place swim in the 100-yard freestyle for the Brewers with a time of 47.12 seconds, a lifetime best mark in the event.
- Andrew Song (Wellesley, MA) finished 14th for the Brewers in the 200-yard backstroke, swimming a time of 1:57.83.
- Alex Graber (Harrison, NY) produced a strong swim for Vassar in the 1,650-yard freestyle, posting a time of 17:56.56, a season-best mark.
- Ehrenfeld came home 16th in the 100-yard freestyle, showing a time of 48.06 seconds.
- Robin Auwaerter (Syracuse, NY) swam a season-best time of 18:20.40 in the 1,650-yard freestyle, good for the 18th position.
- First Year Laszlo Lawless (Monterey, CA) touched out 21st in the 1,650-yard freestyle in a lifetime best time of 18:47.10.
- House produced a 22nd place finish for Vassar in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:17.34.
- Noah Rich (Dover, NH) followed closely in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:17.89, good for 23rd place.
- Daniel Wang (Carlisle, MA) turned in a strong swim in the 100-yard freestyle, taking the 23rd position in 50.27 seconds.
- Daniel Furman (Secaucus, NJ) closed a strong championship with a 24th place finish in the 200-yard backstroke, posting a time of 2:09.13.
- The B entry of the 400-yard freestyle relay finished 22nd for Vassar with the team of Logan Seiss (Downingtown, PA) Jacob Collette (Milford, CT), Wang and John Gao (Ann Arbor, MI) posting a time of 3:19.73.
