Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team continued competition at the 2025 Liberty League Championship Thursday morning with six swimmers and the 200-yard freestyle relay team advancing to this evening's finals. Sophomore
Anna Little (Irwin, PA) qualified second for the Brewers in the 400-yard individual medley.
Little will compete in the 'A' final of the 400-yard individual medley Thursday evening after posting a preliminary time of 4:42.88. Little's swim was just over one second off the top qualifying time.
After winning the Liberty League title in the 500-yard freestyle on Wednesday, junior
Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ) swam into the 'A' final of the 200-yard freestyle Thursday morning. Wiener qualified seventh in the event with a time of 1:55.89.
Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) and
Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ) also moved through to Thursday's final session in the 200-yard freestyle. The duo will compete in the 'B' final for the Brewers after posting times of 1:58.27 and 1:58.52, respectively.
Vassar will feature two swimmers in the final session of the 100-yard butterfly with
Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) and
Stephanie Norris (Santa Barbara, CA) each qualifying. Li will swim in the 'B' final after posting the 11
th fastest time of 58.73 seconds in the preliminary session. Norris competes in the 'C' final Thursday evening after finishing the preliminary heat in 1:01.43.
Vassar's A entry in the 200-yard freestyle relay had a strong preliminary showing, posting the third fastest time. The quartet of McLaughlin, Hoagland, Wiener and
Maya Luongo (Katonah, NY) will compete in the 'A' final after finishing Thursday morning's heat in 1:38.14.
Thursday's final session will begin at 6:00 p.m.
