Women's Fencing Battles at Brian Palestis Memorial Invitational

STATEN ISLAND, NY - The Vassar College Women's Fencing team headed to Wagner College on Sunday morning for the Brian Palestis Memorial Invitational for a clash with Seahawks.

Round One - Wagner 16 Vassar 11

Epee - WAG 6 VC 3
- Junior Olivia Barnes posted a perfect 3-0 mark as junior Naomi Hirsch battled in three bouts.
- Sophomore Aanya Mukherjee competed in two bouts and first year Katrina Zeng fenced in one.
Foil - VC 5 WAG 4
- Senior Hunter Grogan and junior Nicole Ezell each earned two wins while first year Zoe North tallied a victory.
Sabre - WAG 6 VC 3
- Sophomores Abigail Geiger and Vanessa Mark along with junior Kira Wheeler all registered a victory in the first round.
