New York, NY - The Vassar College Women's Fencing team hit the road for the final time in the midweek on Wednesday evening as the Brewers battled with host NYU and Columbia in the annual George Kolombatovich Historical Meet at the John Paulson Center.

Round One - NYU 23 Vassar 4

• Epee - NYU 6 VC 3
  • First year Veronica Scherk tallied two wins along with classmate Lela Mittman adding a victory.
  • Junior Nika Ungurianu battled in three bouts.
• Foil - NYU 9 VC 0
  • Junior Zoe North, junior Elena Rosenmayr and first year Rebecca Yu competed in three bouts each.
• Sabre - NYU 8 VC 1
  • Senior Abigail Geiger scored the lone victory in the round.
  • Junior Katrina Zeng and senior Vanessa Mark each fenced in three bouts.

Round Two - Columbia 25 Vassar 2

• Epee - COL 8 VC 1
  • Scherk collected a victory along with Ungurianu fenced in three bouts.
  • Zeng battled in two bouts while Mittman competed in one bout.
• Foil - COL 8 VC 1
  • North earned a win while Rosenmayr and Yu fenced in three bouts apiece.
• Sabre - COL 9 VC 0
  • Mark and Geige battled in three bouts each.
