Biography
2023-24: As squad leader, closed out her final season with a 25-14 record… Went 13-2 at the Matt Lampell Invite with victories over Hunter (2-1), West Point (3-0), Bryn Mawr (3-0), and CCNY (2-0)… Had victories over Wagner (2-1) at the Brian Palestis Memorial Invitational… Went 2-4 at the George Kolombatovich Historical Meet… Went 8-7 at the EWFC Championship with victories over CCNY (3-0) and Drew (3-0) and placed 8th in the individual round, for which she earned Second Team All-Conference and Eastern Women’s Fencing Conference Woman of the Year… Went 8-5 at the NEIFC Championship… Qualified for the NCAA Northeast Regional.
2022-23: As captain and squad leader, totalled a 71-54 record in her junior year… Went 5-1 in pools and won two direct elimination bouts to place 10th at the NEIFC Big One… Went 12-6 at the Vassar Invitational with victories over Haverford (3-0), Lafayette (1-1), Drew (2-1), and Denison (3-0)… Went 16-2 at the Matt Lampell Invite with victories over Drew (2-1), Bryn Mawr (3-0), and Yeshiva (3-0)… Went 6-15 at the Sacred Heart Traditional Meet with victories over Sacred Heart (3-0) and NJIT (2-1)… Went 6-4 at the Cleveland State Invitational with victories over Cleveland State (2-1), Lawrence (2-1), and Incarnate Word (1-0), for which she received Brewer of the Week… Went 4-14 at the NFC Meet #2 with victories over MIT (2-1)… Went 16-4 at the NFC Meet #3 with victories over Sacred Heart (3-0), UNH (3-0), and Smith (3-0)… Went 12-5 at the EWFC Championship with victories over Yeshiva (2-0), CCNY (3-0), Hunter (3-0), and Drew (2-1) and placed 3rd in the individual round, for which she earned First Team All-Conference… Had victories over Yale (2-4)… Went 11-5 at the NEIFC Championship and placed 6th in the individual round… Placed 41st at the NCAA Northeast Regional.
2021-22: Finished the year with a 62-51 foil record during her first competition season… Placed 8th at The Big One… Went 12-8 at the Vassar Invitational, including wins over Lafayette (3-0), Drew (2-1), and Denison (3-0)… Went 16-1 at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invite, beating Drew (2-1 and 3-0), RPI (3-0), Yeshiva (2-0), and West Point (3-0 and 3-0)… Went 19-6 at the Eastern Women’s Fencing Conference Championships, with victories over CCNY (2-0), Hunter (3-0), Drew (3-0), Haverford (2-1), Denison (2-0), Wellesley (2-1), and Yeshiva (3-0)… Placed 39th at Northeast Regionals.
2020-21: Season canceled due to COVID-19 ...
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Qualified for the USA Fencing Nationals in 2017, 2018, and 2019… Qualified for the 2019 Junior Olympic National Championships… Advanced to the direct elimination bout in the 2018 Junior Olympic National Championships… Team captain for JR Women’s Foil Team… Placed 18th at the April Championship and NAC… Placed third at the ROC of the Rockies… Took third place in JNRWF at RJC.
PERSONAL: Parent is Carolyn Davis... Chose Vassar because "I liked that Vassar had both great academics and the ability to fence competitively."
