Relay team sets first school record of Liberty League Championship

Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team continued to rank fourth in the 2024 Liberty League Championship standings, finishing Day Three of the event with 790.5 points. The 800-yard freestyle 'A' relay team closed out the evening session with a school record.

For The Brewers

The 'A' relay team earned the Brewers' first school record of the Championship when the team of Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ), Sarah Quintana (Chandler, AZ), Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) and Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ) set a new school standard with a time of 7:43.25. The new mark edges the previous record of 7:43.38 set a season ago.
Quintana had a strong day for the Brewers, posting the team's best individual finish with a third-place showing in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.67 seconds.
Quintana led three Brewers in the top-six of the 100-yard backstroke with Bella Rippon (Hershey, PA) placing fourth in 57.97 seconds and Jolie Walker (Chicago, IL) taking the sixth spot in 59.07 seconds.
Alejandra Robins (El Cerrito, CA) turned in a strong swim for Vassar in the 200-yard butterfly, placing fourth overall in a time of 2:08.89.
First Year Anna Little (Irwin, PA) earned an eighth-place finish for the Brewers in the 100-yard breaststroke, showing a time of 1:07.96.
Little led four swimmers who scored in the 100-yard breaststroke with Lara Chebotarev (East Longmeadow, MA) finishing 12^th (1:09.56), Frances Pope (Orinda, CA) placing 13^th (1:10.01) and Szofia Lewis (Pittsfield, MA) taking the 24^th spot (1:13.11).
First Year Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) swam to a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly, touching out in a time of 2:10.76.
Karlie Porter (Zachary, LA) picked up a 19^th place finish swimming in the 'C' Final of the 200-yard butterfly, recording a time of 2:23.65.
Maya Luongo (Katonah, NY) posted a time of 1:02.93 in the 'C' Final of the 100-yard backstroke on Friday, good for the 24^th position.
The 'B' 800-yard freestyle relay team of Maleigha Vietti (Overland Park, KS), Alanna Muello (South Windsor, CT), Lilly Masters (Bloomfield Hills, MI) and Rippon posted a time of 7:50.60 for Vassar.
