Brewers Rank Fifth Following Day Two Of Bomber Invitational

Vassar posts four individual top-10 finishes

Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team returned to the pool for Day Two of the Bomber Invitational and finished the second day of events in fifth-place with 431.5 points. Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA), Anna Little (Irwin, PA) and Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) all recorded top-10 finishes for the Brewers on Saturday.

For The Brewers

McLaughlin scored the Brewers best individual finish of the day after taking the runner-up spot in the 50-yard freestyle. McLaughlin posted a time of 24.14 seconds, just .05 seconds off the school record time.
McLaughlin also competed in the 200-yard freestyle for Vassar and swam to a time of 1:58.89, good for the 16^th position while swimming in the 'B' final.
Li turned in a strong swim for Vassar in the 200-yard butterfly, placing third in a time of 2:08.06. Li added a 14^th-place swim for Vassar in the 100-yard backstroke, touching out in 1:01.37.
Little scored a pair of top-10 finishes, taking seventh-place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:09.11 and ninth in the 400-yard individual medley in 4:44.57.
Sophomore Lara Chebotarev (East Longmeadow, MA) scored an 11^th-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, swimming a time of 1:09.76.
Maleigha Vietti (Overland Park, KS) turned in a 13^th-place swim for Vassar in the 200-yard freestyle, showing a time of 1:57.87.
Senior Maya Luongo (Katonah, NY) tied for 11^th-place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.78 seconds and added a 17^th-place swim in the 100-yqrd backstroke in 1:02.27.
Lilly Masters (Bloomfield Village, MI) touched out 17^th for Vassar in the 200-yard freestyle, posting a time of 1:58.74.
First Years Eva D'Addario (Baltimore, MD) and Sophie Tran (Hillsborough, NJ) swam to 23^rd and 24^th place finishes in the 200-yard butterfly and 100-yard breaststroke, respectively.
In the relay events, the Brewers earned sixth and 13^th-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle event to open the day.
The 'A' entry of Masters, Little, Luongo and McLaughlin swam to a time of 1:38.69.
The second entry in the event posted an 18^th-place finish with the team of Hunter Harris (East Thetford, VT), Tia Spivey (Gate City, VA), Tran and Caroline Griem (Brooklyn, NY) posting a time of 1:51.33.
To close the evening, the team of Luongo, Little, Li and McLaughlin posted a time of 4:05.40, good for a ninth-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay.
The 'B' entry of Vietti, Chebotarev, D'Addario and Masters took the 12^th spot with a time of 4:13.51.
