POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The United States Fencing Coaches Association announced its 2023 NCAA Fencing Academic awards as the Vassar College Women's Fencing team boasted the highest Division IIII USFCA grade-point average at 3.78. The Brewers led the nation with the most Scholars of Distinction with 17 while Vassar posted 21 student-athletes who were named to the All-Academic Team.

The USFCA recognizes the individual student-athletes and teams on the basis of their combined Fall and Spring semester grade-point averages. This year, the USFCA All-Academic team includes 558 student-athletes with 360 receiving recognition as Scholars of Distinction. The All-Academic team honors are presented to those student-athletes who had an in-season GPA of 3.3 or higher. Scholar of Distinction honors are given to those student-athletes who had an in-season GPA of 3.7 or higher.
