Brewers Swim To Fifth Place Finish At Bomber Invitational

Robins places fourth in 100-yard IM

Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team completed an impressive weekend at the Bomber Invitational on Sunday, finishing in fifth-place out of 11 teams with a team score of 1,029 points. The Brewers posted seven top-10 individual finishes on the final day of events, led by a fourth-place showing from Alejandra Robins (El Cerrito, CA) in the 100-yard individual medley.

Robins finished off a strong weekend for the Brewers with team's best individual finish on Sunday. Robins completed the 100-yard individual medley in a time of 1:02.23.
Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) earned a fifth-place finish for the Brewers in the 100-yard freestyle, swimming a season best time of 54.01 seconds.
Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) took the fifth position in the 200-yard backstroke for Vassar, completing the event in a lifetime best time of 2:08.77.
Sarah Quintana (Chandler, AZ) had a strong day for the Brewers on Sunday, placing sixth in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:09.42.
Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ) led the way for the Brewers in the 1,650-yard freestyle, earning a sixth-place finish in a lifetime best time of 18:14.02.
Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ) placed eighth in the 1,650-yard freestyle on Sunday with a time of 18:20.73 and added an 18^th place showing in the 100-yard freestyle in a season best time of 55.05 seconds.
First Year Anna Little (Irwin, PA) took the tenth position for the Brewers in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:29.75.
Maleigha Vietti (Overland Park, KS) turned in a pair of season best swims on Sunday for Vassar, posting a time of 18:44.32 in the 1,650-yard freestyle and a mark of 2:15.25 in the 200-yard backstroke.
First Year Lara Chebotarev (East Longmeadow, MA) swam a time of 1:04.65, good for 13^th place, in the 100-yard IM and added a 23^rd place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:36.90.
Stephanie Norris (Santa Barbara, CA) placed 15^th for the Brewers in the 100-yard IM, recording a time of 1:06.20.
Jolie Walker (Chicago, IL) had a strong day for the Brewers, taking 19^th place in 1:07.72 in the 100-yard IM before posting a season best time of 2:15.38 in the 200-yard backstroke.
Alanna Muello (South Windsor, CT) and Maya Luongo (Katonah, NY) each finished with season best times in the 100-yard freestyle, completing the event in times of 54.90 seconds and 54.94 seconds, respectively.
Bella Rippon (Hershey, PA) turned in a strong swim in the 200-yard backstroke, posting a time of 2:14.54, good for the 16^th position.
Vassar concluded the three-day event with a fourth-place swim in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The quartet of Muello, Wiener, Quintana and McLaughlin all swam season best splits on the way to a total time of 3:36.30.
