- Freshman Stephanie Gull only fenced in the first four matches for Vassar, but had no issues going 7-0 with two wins apiece against Haverford, Queens and LIU Post.
- Vassar will honor Stoff and Weiss for their contributions to the team on Sunday, as VC will host Senior Day. Stoff and Weiss have combined for over 400 career victories as Brewers.
- Vassar is without two of its top women's fencers this semester, as juniors Annie Innes-Gold and Kirsten Denman are both not on campus in the fall. Both are slated to return in the spring.
A Look At The Competition:
- Vassar will be looking to win the Matt Lampell for the third consecutive season after going 7-0 in action last season.
- VC combined to post a 161-28 record across the three weapons to earn the team title in 2015.
- The Brewers are pooled with CCNY, LIU Post, West Point and The College of New Jersey, while Pool B will be Drew, Queens, Florida, Yeshiva and Vassar's "B" squad.
- CCNY won the team event three years ago, going undefeated in its four matches.
- The winners of both pools will fence at 5:30 in the final round of action to see who earns the team title on Sunday.
- Vassar fenced both Queens and LIU last weekend, rolling to wins over both with scores of 20-7 and 24-3, respectively.
Up Next: Vassar will have a weekend off before heading to the ultra-competitive Sacred Heart Multi-Meet December 4 at 10 a.m. in Fairfield, CT.
