2017-2018: Finished off her Vassar career in exceptional fashion, accumulating the best record of any other fencer (119-20) while amassing nearly half of all the wins for the Sabre squad…conceded only 1 match from 21 bouts during the Vassar Invitational…recorded a perfect winning record (3-0) against all 6 teams at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invitational…earned 5 winning records at the 2017 Traditional Multi-Meet, more than any other fencer on the team (15-6 on the day)…was the only fencer to have a positive record (14-6) at the 2018 Western Invitational at Stanford University…recorded the most wins (11-4) during Northeast Fencing Conference play on January 28
th…was the only fencer on the team to have a winning record against Yale (2-1) on February 3
rd… placed 3
rd overall (21-1) in the Eastern Women’s Fencing Conference (EWFC), assisting her on her process towards qualifying for the NCAA Regionals…represented the Sabre squad in the final pool of the NCAA regionals, knocking off top ranked fencers from Columbia, Yale and MIT on her way to taking 12
th overall in the northeast region.
2016-2017: As a junior, was VC’s leading sabre performer… finished the year boasting an Impressive 67-18 record… abroad in the fall, Innes-Gold did not compete until Jan 21, beginning her season 14-1… Improved to 27-3 on Jan 28, with key victories over Brandeis, Boston College, Brown, MIT, and Tufts… in last competition of the spring, went 19-1 (Feb. 19)… also had strong days Feb. 11 (18-3) and Jan. 28 (13-2).
2015-2016: Led the Brewers sabre squad with 74 wins (74-40)… Finished 3-0 against 17 schools throughout the season… Innes-Gold outscored opponents 14-1 on Jan 23, with key victories over MIT, Boston College, Tufts, Brandeis and Brown…also went 14-1 on November 22 against Drew, Queens, LIU, CCNY, and Yeshiva.
2014-2015: In a breakout freshman season, quickly became one of VC’s top sabre competitors, with overall record of 67-28… in debut, recorded 18 wins, with perfect performances against Queens, Sacred Heart, Hunter, and Stevens… went undefeated on Nov. 16
th with record of 12-0… also undefeated against Drew and Lafayette on Jan 31.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Sabre fencer who earned a D rating before coming to Vassar...earned the rating at the Junior Olympic Qualifier in January of 2012...finished second at the Massachusetts State High School Championships last year...fenced for four years for the Blue Devils of Northampton, captaining the team for two seasons.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Howard Gold and Jennifer Innes...has two siblings, Sarah (22) and Bobby (15)...biology major.
