Troy, NY - The Liberty League announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon as Vassar College Women's Track and Field junior Haley Schoenegge was named the league's Track Performer of the Week for the third straight week.

Schoenegge shattered her own school record and reset the top time this season in Division III in the 1500 meters at the Penn Relays on Thursday behind a ninth place finish out of 45 Division I finishers. Schoenegge was the only non-Division I runner in the field as she threw down the fourth-fastest time in Division III history in 4:16.13, over three seconds faster than her school record time, to win her heat and place ninth overall in the 1500 meters.  She also earned a first place finish with a new personal-best time and 36th-best national time of 2:12.86 in the 800 meters at the Vassar Spring Invite on Saturday.

Schoenegge's time tops her previous-best season mark of 4:24.41 and now gives her the current top Division III time in both the 1500 meters and the 5000 meters this season. Schoenegge's 1500 meters time is over seven seconds faster than the next closest.

Vassar will head to the two-day Liberty League Outdoor Championships this weekend on the campus of St. Lawrence with the first events beginning on Friday afternoon.
