Women's Track and Field Celebrates Senior Day at Vassar Spring Invite

Brewers host annual home meet before heading to St. Lawrence next weekend for the Liberty League Championships

Poughkeepsie, NY - The Vassar College Women's Track and Field celebrated its senior class on Saturday evening as the Brewers hosted the annual Vassar Spring Invite at Weinberg Track and several Brewers earned first place finishes and new personal and season bests.

Shot Put
  • Sophomore Amanda Hanrahan scored a third place finish with a top toss of 10.47 meters along with senior Kolby Davis tallying a seventh place finish at 10.17 meters.
  • Senior Sydney Petrie collected a 10th place finish with a season-best mark of 9.33 followed by sophomore Meara Morgan in 12th place finish at 9.13 meters.
  • Senior Ava Gurley posted a top-20 finish with a throw of 8.98 meters.
Discus Throw
  • Petrie scored a second place finish with a top throw of 39.15 meters followed by Morgan in third with a new career-best mark of 32.31 meters.
  • First year Anna Johnson secured a sixth place finish with a toss of 30.48 meters along with Gurley recording a 10th place finish at 28.04 meters.
  • Hanrahan placed in the top-15 with a throw of 26.72 meters while senior Abbe Colgan adding a top-16 mark at 24.15 meters.
4x100 Relay Long Jump
  • First year Ruthie Weiss earned a third place finish as the top Division III finisher at 5.12 meters followed by senior Jamie Eu in fourth position with a mark of 5.07 meters.
  • Senior Sydney Passley-Harris tallied a ninth place finish with a leap of 4.72 meters.
Pole Vault
  • Due to poor weather conditions, the pole vault will begin tomorrow afternoon at 12:00 p.m.
3000 Meters Steeplechase
  • First year Emerson Wyatt notched a second place finish with a season-best time of 12:05.85 followed by classmate Taylor Vogt in third position in a season-best 12:29.65.
1500 Meters
  • Senior Anika Mueller-Hickler registered a new personal-best time of 4:45.15 to finish first overall followed by sophomore Chloe Bibula in second position with a mark of 4:51.60.
  • Sophomore Hadley Snell scored a sixth place finish with a time of 4:58.06 along with senior Nora Goldberg-Courtney tallying a 11th place with a new career-best time of 5:10.43.
100 Meter Hurdles
  • Senior Jahmilia Dennis registered a second place finish with a time of 15.73 along with senior Freja Niklasson scoring a third place finish in 16.19.
  • Sophomore Elana Pukel crossed the finish line in fifth place in 16.57.
100 Meters
  • D'Auria collected a first place finish with a time of 12.49 while Eu collected a fifth place mark in 12.97.
  • Camille posted a sixth place finish in 13.20 followed by Dennis in 12th position with a time of 13.51.
  • First year Claire Seguin crossed the finish line in 13th place in 13.56 along with sophomore Mason Wilkins-Lanier in the top-17 with a time of 13.81.
  • Sophomore Sophia Moreau tallied a top-30 finish with a time of 16.58.
Hammer Throw
  • Hanrahan collected a first place finish with a mark of 45.26 meters while Morgan was second overall with a toss of 36.17 meters.
  • Johnson added a third place finish with a distance of 35.05 meters along with Davis placing fifth at 30.35 meters.
800 Meters
  • Junior Haley Schoenegge earned a first place finish with a new personal-best time and 36th-est national time of 2:12.86 while sophomore Elizabeth Lowe notched a third place finish in a season-best time of 2:17.10.
  • First year Perri Koo tallied an eighth place finish with a time of 2:26.69.
200 Meters
  • M. Seguin raced to a first place finish with a time of 26.50 while C. Seguin notched a fourth place finish in 28.05.
  • Wilkins-Lanier tallied a sixth place finish with a time of 28.40 along with Niklasson posting an eighth place finish in 28.87.
  • Pukel added a ninth place mark with a time of 29.16.
High Jump
  • Weiss tied for first place with a mark of 1.44 meters while first year Maddie Delaney notched a fourth place finish with a season-best 1.39 meters.
Triple Jump
  • D'Auria registered a first place finish with a top-50 national mark of 11.31 meters while Eu earned a 10th place mark at 9.55 meters.
  • Junior Abigail Sasson and Niklasson each finished sixth at 1.39 meters followed by Pukel and Colgan in eighth at 1.34 meters.
  • Junior Jillian Benfante added a 10th place finish at 1.34 meters.
Javelin Throw
  • Delaney recorded an 11th place finish with a top toss of 22.78 meters followed by Benfante in the top-15 at 18.16 meters.
5000 Meters
  • First year Cate Feudtner posted a seventh place finish with a season-best time of 18:53.09 while senior Lily Shimpach earning a top-15 finish in 19:57.61.

  • Vassar will head to St. Lawrence on Friday for the two-day Liberty League Outdoor Championships.
