Philadelphia, PA - Junior Haley Schoenegge shattered her own school record and reset the top time this season in Division III in the 1500 meters at the Penn Relays on Thursday behind a ninth place finish out of 45 Division I finishers. 

Schoenegge was the only non-Division I runner in the field as she threw down the fourth-fastest time in Division III history in 4:16.13, over three seconds faster than her school record time, to win her heat and place ninth overall in the 1500 meters.

Schoenegge's time tops her previous-best season mark of 4:24.41 and now gives her the current top Division III time in both the 1500 meters and the 5000 meters this season.

Vassar will return to action this Saturday as the Brewers will host the Vassar Spring Invitational with throwing events beginning at 12:00 p.m and track events beginning at 3:00 p.m.
