Cortland, NY – The Vassar College Women's Golf team returned to action on Saturday, finishing the First Round of the Cortland Martin/Wallace Invitational in sixth-place with a team score of 384.
Iesha DeSilva (Dayton, MD) and
Olivia Pocat (Saratoga, CA) led the way for Vassar, tying for 17
th-place.
Ithaca leads the event though 18 holes with a score of 315 and is followed by Union (342), Cortland (344), St. Lawrence (350), St. John Fisher (368), Vassar (384), Nazareth (406), William Smith (427), Albertus Magnus (436) and Utica (444).
DeSilva and Pocat each finished Saturday's round with a 90 at the par-72 Cortland Country Club.
Katrina Wu (Great Neck, NY) completed Saturday's round in a tie for 27
th-place after carding a 96 with First Year
Lili Proctor (Evanston, IL) rounding out the Vassar squad in the 36
th position with a score of 108.
Ithaca's Brianna Morrison leads the event after shooting a three-over par 75 and holds a three-stroke lead over two other competitors.
Vassar rounds out the Invitational on Sunday.
