Women’s Golf Tees-Off At Liberty League Championship Friday Afternoon

Brewers placed fifth at last year’s event

Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Women's Golf team begins play at the 2026 Liberty League Championship Friday afternoon at the Teugega Country Club in Rome, NY. Live results will be available for both rounds of the event.
 
At A Glance
  • This weekend will mark the Brewers' seventh event of the season and third of the spring portion of the schedule.
  • Vassar placed sixth of 10 teams in its last event, posting at team score of 765 at the Cortland Martin Wallace Invitational April 11-12.
  • Vassar took part in the 36-hole Le Moyne Spring Invitational on March 9 in Orlando, FL.
  • The Brewers finished fifth at last year's championship and fourth at the event in 2024.
 
A Look At The Brewers
  • Sophia Calvillo (Long Beach, CA) won the Wintonbury Hills One Day event hosted by Hartford on September 27 by five strokes after carding a 75.
  • Calvillo added a 10th-place finish at the St. Lawrence Invitational and an 11th-place showing at the Union Fall Invitational.
  • Sophomore Iesha DeSilva (Dayton, MD) was Vassar's top finisher at the Le Moyne Spring Invitational in Orlando as well as the Cortland Martin Wallace event with an 18th-place showing.
 
Last Year's Championship
  • Junior Olivia Pocat (Saratoga, CA) closed out the 2025 league championship in 25th-place, carding an 84 in the second round that featured birdies on one and 17.
  • DeSilva finished the event in 27th-place for the Brewers.
  • Teaen Sweet (Surprise, AZ) led Vassar and completed the championship in 19th-place overall with a two-round score of 167.
 
Schedule
  • Friday's First Round will tee-off at 12:00 p.m.
  • Saturday's Final Round is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m.
