Orlando, FL – The Vassar College Women's Golf team returned to the course for the first time in the spring on Monday when it competed in the 36-hole Le Moyne Spring Invitational in Orlando, FL. Junior
Iesha DeSilva (Dayton, MD) led the way for the Brewers, placing 30
th overall.
Vassar finished the 36-hole event with a team score of 832, carding a 413 in the First Round and a 419 in the Second Round. Manhattan won the team event with a two-round score of 641, finishing 14 strokes clear of second-place Bryant.
DeSilva finished the event with a two-round score of 187, carding a 92 on the first 18 holes and a 95 in the Second Round. DeSilva finished in solo 30
th for the Brewers in the field of 40 golfers.
Olivia Pocat (Saratoga, CA) finished in 35
th-place after carding a total score of 201. Pocat shaved five strokes off of her first-round score with a Second Round mark of 98.
Katrina Wu (Great Neck, NY) carded a two-round score of 215 for the Brewers and First Year
Lili Proctor (Evanston, IL) finished the event with a score of 229.
Manhattan's Nawel Ben Letaief won individual medalist honors with a score of 151, finishing eight strokes ahead of teammate Jayden Peters.
Vassar continues the spring schedule at the Jack Leaman Invitational hosted by Amherst April 11-12.
