Women's Fencing Battles Against Yale

Sabre picks up three victories, epee earns two wins against the D1 foe

nNew Haven, CT - The Vassar College Women's Fencing team made the trip to Division I foe Yale on Saturday afternoon as the Brewers fell 22-5 to the Bulldogs at Payne Whitney Gymnasium.

Epee - Yale 7 Vassar 2
- First year Lela Mittman and classmate Veronica Scherk both earned a victory.
- Junior Nika Ungurianu battled in three bouts.
Foil - Yale 9 Vassar 0
- Junior Zoe North, first year Sarah Huynh and junior Elena Rosenmayr each fenced in three bouts.
Sabre - Yale 6 Vassar 3
- First year Mercer Colby, senior Vanessa Mark and sophomore Lily Paine each picked up a win.
