POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The College Sport Communicators (CSC) announced the honorees for Academic All-District in the At-Large category on Tuesday afternoon as 12 Vassar College student-athletes from field hockey, men's fencing, women's fencing, women's lacrosse, men's lacrosse and men's volleyball were honored for their success both on the field and in the classroom.
Junior
Sofia Beseth, who garnered field hockey All-League recognition for the second straight season, finished as the team leader in goals (six) and points (13) for the second straight season. Beseth also scored two-game winning goals on the season, including the winner over #20 New Paltz, and converted on three penalty strokes. Beseth recorded a season-high two goals in a 5-1 triumph over Smith on September 14. The junior has been named to the Liberty League All-Academic team twice and has earned a spot on the NFHCA Division III National All-Academic Squad three times.
Senior
Alexa Gwyn earned her first All-Liberty League Second Team field hockey honor this season as the senior finished tied for the team lead in assists with four. Gwyn recorded her first career defensive save against Montclair State on September 11 and ranked tied for fifth on the squad in points. Gwyn closes her Vassar career being named to the Liberty League All-Academic team three times, the NFHCA National Academic Squad four times and closed her career with four straight selections to the NFHCA Scholar of Distinction team.
Senior
Addy Xie, who served as a team captain in her senior campaign, closed her career with a 40-36 overall record at epee and placed fifth overall at the NEIFC Big One. Xie also posted a 10-3 record at the NEIFC Championship, which helped Vassar place second for Top Women's Epee Squad and third for the Women's 3-Weapon Team Championship. Xie qualified for all four NCAA Northeast Regionals in her career and recorded a top-50 finish in three of the regionals. Xie was a finalist for the Vassar Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and has been earned numerous USFCA and NFC All-Academic team awards.
Sophomore
Amelia Poirier exploded onto the scene in 2025 as she finished second on the squad in goals with 38 and was tied for third in points with 34. The sophomore also ranked second on the team in draw controls with 32 and finished with 17 groundballs and eight caused turnovers. The sophomore was named to the Liberty League All-Academic team earlier this season.
Senior
Kali Ringler, who was named a team captain for her senior season, started in 14 of the 16 games this season for Vassar and accumulated six goals, one assist, 21 groundballs and caused eight turnovers. Ringler has tallied double-digit goals twice in her career with 14 goals being tallied in 2024. She has appeared in 61 total games in her Brewers career and tallied a total of 39 goals, 68 groundballs and 36 caused turnovers in her four years at Vassar. Ringler has been named to the Liberty League All-Academic team three times.
Senior
Reilly Mulcahy put together a career year in 2025 as the senior posted new career-highs in goals (25), assists (23) and points (48) to help Vassar return to the Liberty League First Round. Mulcahy also collected 14 groundballs, 11 caused turnovers and won 18 draw controls this season. She closes her career with 76 goals, 41 assists, 117 points, 60 groundballs, 37 caused turnovers and 88 draw controls. The senior has been named to the Liberty League All-Academic team three times in her career.
Sophomore
Armaan Desai, who earned his first career AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, AVCA All-Region and UVC Honorable Mention honors, helped lead the Brewers to a 22-7 record this season and 4-3 in UVC action along with Vassar reaching the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season and sixth time in program history. Desai closes the season with a team-high 86 total blocks and finished with 20 solo blocks, which ranks tied for fourth in a single season in Vassar history. Desai also finished his sophomore campaign ranking third in aces with 22 and third in kills with 151.
Senior
Tobias Clark closed his Vassar career with a total of 149 kills, 20 aces, 131 digs and 44 total blocks for Vassar. Clark recorded a career-high 108 kills, 12 aces, 87 digs and 36 blocks during his senior campaign. He posted a career-high 10 kills against Hobart in March and tallied a career-high four blocks in a victory over St. John Fisher this season. Clark famously recorded the game-winning service ace last year to defeat Wentworth and send Vassar to the Final Four for the second straight season and has been a multiple time UVC All-Academic team selection.
Senior
Billy Fan concluded his all-around career with the Brewers with a total of 444 kills, 102 assists, 88 aces, 354 digs and 101 total blocks throughout his career. Fan finished the 2025 season with new career-high marks with 171 kills, 40 aces, 141 digs and 50 total blocks. Fan has recorded 14 kills as his career-high in a match three times and buried a career-high six aces against NYU last season along with being a three-time UVC All-Academic team honoree.
Senior
Brady Traugot, the winner of this year's Vassar Scholar-Athlete award, finished his Brewers career with a 46-40 overall record at foil and was a two-time team captain and three-time squad leader. Traugot qualified for the NCAA Northeast Regionals three times in his career and posted three top-50 finishes. Traugot went 10-3 at the NEIFC Championship this season, which helped Vassar place 3rd for the Men's 3-Weapon Team Championship. The senior also went 5-1 in pools and won one direct elimination bout to place 20th at the NEIFC Big One.
Senior
Shane O'Hara finished his senior campaign with new career-highs in goals (24), assists (11), points (35) and groundballs (28) in a career-high 14 starts for the Brewers. O'Hara closes his career with a total of 58 goals and 21 assists for 79 career points and has collected 44 career groundballs. O'Hara tied his career-high for goals in a single game with four in the final game of the regular season in a 11-10 victory over Clarkson on April 26. The senior has been named to the Liberty League All-Academic team all three years that he has been eligible for the honor.
Junior
Hayden Stoltzfoos started all 15 games for the Brewers in the midfield as he posted four goals and two assists for six total points while scooping up 21 groundballs and causing three turnovers. The junior scored a career-best two goals in Vassar's record-setting 25-7 victory over Southern Virginia, which was the most goals in a game against a four-year opponent in program history.
