Louisville, KY – The Vassar College Men's Lacrosse team earned a Team Academic Award for a grade point average better than a 3.0 from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and in addition senior defender Dan Bader (Forestdale, MA) has received academic distinction after being named a 2026 USILA Scholar All-American.
 
Bader, a Biology major at Vassar, helped anchor Vassar's defensive unit in 2026 and earned All-Liberty League distinction for the first time in his career with an Honorable Mention selection. In addition to his contributions on the field, Bader landed on the Spring Liberty League All-Academic Team.
 
As a senior in 2026, Bader started all 15 games for the Brewers and led the team with 20 caused turnovers to go along with 50 groundballs. Bader caused a turnover for Vassar in all but two contests in 2026 and posted a season-high three forced miscues at RPI on April 1. Bader collected multiple groundballs in all but one contest in 2026 and graduated with career totals of 48 forced turnovers and 111 groundballs, ranking inside the top-10 all-time in caused turnovers.
 
Among the Liberty League leaders in 2026, Bader finished the campaign ranked 10^th in the conference in groundballs with 3.33 per contest.
 
Vassar rounded out the 2026 season with a 6-9 overall record.
