Vassar Concludes First Round Of Liberty League Championship

Calvillo, Sweet tied for 21st

Guilderland, NY – The Vassar College Women's Golf team wrapped up the First Round of the 2025 Liberty League Championship on Saturday in fifth-place with a team score of 360. Sophomores Sophia Calvillo (Long Beach, CA) and Teaen Sweet (Surprise, AZ) lead the Brewers in a tie for the 21^st position.

Wellesley and New York University are tied for the team lead with each squad carding a 302 on Saturday and are 24 strokes clear of third-place Ithaca. Sarah Yeh and Audrey Wang from Wellesley share the First Round lead with each posting a 73 on Saturday.

For The Brewers

Calvillo and Sweet each carded an 86 on Saturday on the par-72 course at the Pinehaven Country Club.
Classmate Olivia Pocat (Saratoga, CA) finished the round in 89 strokes, good for a tie for the 24^th position.
Iesha DeSilva (Dayton, MD) ranks 28^th through 18 holes after completing Saturday's round in 99 shots.
First Year Zoe Anaya (Santa Monica, CA) sits in a tie for 31^st place after carding a 113 for the Brewers on Saturday.

What's Next

The Championship continues with the second and final round on Sunday.
