Women’s Golf Competes At Jack Leaman Invitational

Sweet leads Brewers with 85

South Hadley, MA – The Vassar College Women's Golf team continued the 2025 spring season on Sunday at the Jack Leaman Invitational hosted by Amherst. The Brewers finished the event in 12th place with a team score of 372.
 
NYU won the team event with a round score of 296, finishing 10 strokes clear of second-place Amherst. NYU's Nalinda Wanikpun won individual medalist honors after carding a two-under 70 on the par-72 course at the Orchards Golf Club.  
 
For The Brewers
  • Teaen Sweet (Surprise, AZ) finished the day in a tie for the 49th position overall after carding an 85 to lead the Brewers.
  • Sophia Calvillo (Long Beach, CA) finished a shot behind Sweet, closing the round in 86 strokes and in a three-way tie for 51st place.
  • Fellow sophomore Olivia Pocat (Saratoga, CA) made her way around the course in 88 strokes, closing the day in a three-way tie for 56th place.
  • Iesha DeSilva (Dayton, MD) and Zoe Anaya (Santa Monica, CA) rounded out the Vassar lineup, placing 72nd and 73rd, respectively.

  • Vassar opens play at the 2025 Liberty League Championship on April 26.
