Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Women's Golf team completed its second home event in as many days on Sunday, placing fifth at the Vassar Invitational II with a team score of 353. Sophomore
Teaen Sweet (Surprise, AZ) led the way for the Brewers in a tie for third-place.
Babson took the top spot in the team event with a score of 311, finishing six strokes clear of Wesleyan who finished at 317. Ithaca took third (320) and was followed by Wellesley-B (321), the Brewers and Nichols (422).
Mia Holbrook from Wesleyan and Laura Lu from Babson tied for medalist honors with each carding a four-over par 76.
For The Brewers
- Sweet finishes in a six-way tie for third-place on Sunday with a 78 on the par-72 course at Casperkill Golf Club.
- Fellow sophomore Olivia Pocat (Saratoga, CA) completed Sunday's round in a tie for 20th with an 85 for the Brewers.
- Classmate Sophia Calvillo (Long Beach, CA) carded at 89 for the Brewers on Sunday, good for a tie for the 24th position.
- Iesha DeSilva (Dayton, MD) placed 27th on Sunday with a score of 101.
- Hannah Levine (Woodmere, NY) and Zoe Anaya (Santa Monica, CA) rounded out the day in 29th and 32nd place, respectively.
