Women’s Golf Rounds Out Fall Season At Hamilton Fall Invitational

Brewers place ninth in final event of the fall

Rome, NY – The Vassar College Women's Golf team closed out the fall season on Sunday with a ninth-place finish at the Hamilton Fall Invitational with a two-round score of 749. Sophomore Iesha DeSilva (Dayton, MD) led Vassar with an 84 in Sunday's Second Round.

Hamilton won the team event with a two-day score of 609, finishing 14 strokes better than runner-up Hamilton 'B'. Aubrey Lee from Hamilton shot a 75 on Sunday to win the event with a score of 151, a single stroke better than Ithaca's Helena Winterberg and teammate Hellen Xiang.

For The Brewers

DeSilva improved her first-round score by 12 strokes, carding an 84 on Sunday, to finish the event in 34^th place with a two-round score of 180. DeSilva posted a birdie on the par-4 12^th hole on Sunday for the Brewers.
Sophia Calvillo (Long Beach, CA) rounded out the event in the 30^th position after scoring a 93 on Sunday to post a tournament score of 173. Calvillo finished Sunday's round with birdies on the par-5 11^th hole and the par-3 14^th.
Katrina Wu (Great Neck, NY) improved by six strokes over Saturday's score with a 92 on Sunday and closed the event with a total score of 190, good for a tie for the 38^th position. Wu finished the day with a birdie on the par-5 10^th hole for the Brewers on Sunday.
First Year Lili Proctor (Evanston, IL) closed the event in 47^th place with a tournament score of 206.
