Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team holds on to fifth-place at the Liberty League Championship, finishing day three of the event with 482 points. A strong Friday evening session was highlighted by a second-place finish from the 800-yard freestyle relay team.
Ithaca continues to lead on the team leaderboard with 1,171 points with the rest of the league ranking as follows: RPI (1,030), RIT (920), Skidmore (633), Vassar (482), Union (394), St. Lawrence (382.5), Clarkson (347.5), William Smith (268) and Bard (105).
For The Brewers
- Both of the Brewers' relay teams had strong showings on Friday night.
- The 800-yard freestyle team of Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ), Maya Luongo (Katonah, NY), Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) and Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ) took the second position with a time of 7:45.30.
- To open the evening, the 200-yard medley relay team of Luongo, Anna Little (Irwin, PA), Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) and McLaughlin finished in fifth-place with a time of 1:49.52.
- Individually, Li had the best finish of the night for the Brewers after posting a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:09.52.
- Little was also in action in the 'A' final of the 100-yard breaststroke, swimming to a seventh-place finish with a time of 1:07.30.
- Sophomore Lara Chebotarev (East Longmeadow, MA) earned a top-10 finish in the 100-yard breaststroke after recording a time of 1:08.42.
- First Year Eva D'Addario (Baltimore, MD) turned in a strong performance in the 200-yard butterfly, taking the 18th position in a time of 2:20.24.
- In the 100-yard breaststroke, Stephanie Norris (Santa Barbara, CA) and Sophie Tran (Hillsborough, NJ) finished 20 and 23rd, respectively, with times of 1:13.13 and 1:16.33.

- The final day of events at the league championship gets underway with preliminary swims on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.
