Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Men's Swimming and Diving team ranks sixth out of 10 teams with 222 points through the second day of events at the 2025 Liberty League Championship. Vassar's 200-yard freestyle relay team finished the day with a new school record, placing fourth in the event.
RIT leads the men's meet through Thursday's events with 824 points and is followed by Ithaca (776), RPI (572), Skidmore (364), Clarkson (318), Vassar (222), Union (176), Bard (93), Hobart (44) and St. Lawrence (13).
For The Brewers
- In the final event of the evening, the 200-yard freestyle relay team became the second squad to set a Vassar school record in the first two days of the championship. The team of Hayden Ehrenfeld (Long Beach, CA), John Gao (Ann Arbor, MI), Mike Seaton (Hoboken, NJ) and Lucas Jauregui (Barrington, RI) swam to a new school standard time of 1:25.05, placing fourth in the event.
- Jauregui posted the team's best individual finish of the finals session after talking 11th-place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 51.05 seconds.
- First Year Andrew Song (Wellesley, MA) turned in a strong swim for the Brewers in the 400-yard individual medley, finishing the event in 12th-place in a season-best time of 4:15.55.
- Logan Seiss (Downingtown, PA) swam to a lifetime best time of 4:24.58 in the 400-yard individual medley, good for the 16th position.
- Sophomore Alex Graber (Harrison, NY) also posted a lifetime best swim in the 400-yard individual medley, touching out in 4:22.94 and in 17th-place. Graber shaved nearly 10 seconds off his preliminary time with his lifetime best finals swim.
- Seaton touched out 18th for Vassar in the 100-yard butterfly, posting a lifetime best swim of 52.21 seconds.
- Gao turned in a season-best time of 54.51 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly, taking the 23rd position in the event.
What's Next
- The Brewers will be back in the pool Friday morning when Day Three of the Championship gets underway with preliminary swims at 10:00 a.m.
