Vassar Continues 2026 Liberty League Championship With Thursday Preliminary Swims

Four Brewers qualify for Thursday’s Finals session

Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Men's Swimming and Diving team continued competition at the 2026 Liberty League Championship Thursday morning with preliminary swims in three events. Four Brewers raced their way into Thursday's final session in the 100-yard butterfly.

Sam Deluca (Mifflinburg, PA) and Logan Seiss (Downingtown, PA) raced their way into the 'B' final Thursday night after qualifying 10^th and 14^th in the 100-yard butterfly.
Deluca led the way for the Brewers with a time of 51.01 seconds with Seiss touching out in 53.71 seconds with each posting personal best times in the event.
Competing in the 'C' final in Thursday's evening session will be First Year Elam Estella (Colorado Springs, CO) and senior James Hatch (Los Altos, CA).
Estella qualified 19^th for the Brewers with a time of 54.83 seconds with Hatch swimming a time of 55.97 seconds, good for the 23^rd in the preliminary heats.
First Year Vuk Usina (Tallahassee, FL) also swam a personal best time for the Brewers, posting a time of 1:51.20 in the 200-yard freestyle.

What's Next

Thursday's finals session is scheduled to get underway at 6:00 p.m.
