POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Vassar College Field Hockey team picked up another postseason award today as the Brewers received the 2024 Division III National Academic Team Award from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

The NFHCA proudly announces that it has honored 69 Division III teams with the esteemed 2024 National Academic Team Award. This prestigious acknowledgment is granted to programs that have achieved an exceptional team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.

Vassar most recently had senior Alexa Gwyn named a NFHCA Scholar of Distinction for the fourth time along with 13 Brewers selected to the National Academic Squad. Sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, the NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.
