Poughkeepsie, NY - The Vassar College Women's Fencing team opened its home schedule on Sunday at Walker Field House as the Brewers scored five victories in seven matchups with the epee squad leading the way with a 43-20 record on the day.

Round 1 - Vassar 17 FDU 10

• Epee - VC 5 FDU 4
  • First year Veronica Scherk posted a perfect 3-0 round while first year Lela Mittman tallied two victories.
  • Junior Aurelia Cacace battled in three bouts.
• Foil - VC 5 FDU 4
  • Sophomore Zoe North and classmate Sushama Gadiyaram each scored two victories.
  • Sophomore Kelsey Wang added a victory.
• Sabre - VC 7 FDU 2
  • First year Mercer Colby went undefeated at 3-0 along with senior Abigail Geiger and sophomore Lily Paine earned two wins each.

Round 2 - Vassar 24 Lafayette 3

• Epee - VC 8 LAF 1
  • Senior Aanya Mukherjee and junior Nika Ungurianu earned three wins each while Cacace scored two victories.
• Foil - VC 7 LAF 2
  • North posted a perfect 3-0 round while Gadiyaram and first year Sarah Huynh tallied two wins each.
• Sabre - VC 9 LAF 0
  • Colby, Paine and senior Vanessa Mark all picked up three victories.

Round 3 - Vassar 15 Drew 12

• Epee - VC 9 DREW 0
  • Mittman, Scherk and Ungurianu all posted three victories.
• Foil - DREW 9 VC 0
  • Gadiyaram, Wang and Huynh all competed in three bouts.
• Sabre - VC 6 DREW 3
  • Colby went undefeated at 3-0 along with Paine adding two wins and Geiger scored a victory.

Round 4 - Cornell 18 Vassar 9

• Epee - COR 6 VC 3
  • Scherk earned three victories while Mukherjee and Mittman competed in three bouts each.
• Foil - COR 5 VC 4
  • Gadiyaram registered two victories while Huynh and Wang each picked up a win.
• Sabre - COR 8 VC 1
  • Paine earned a victory while Colby and Geiger battled in three bouts apiece.

Round 5 - Brown 23 Vassar 4

• Epee - BROWN 6 VC 3
  • Mukherjee, Mittman and Ungurianu each scored a victory.
• Foil - BROWN 9 VC 0
  • North and Gadiyaram each battled in three bouts.
  • Huynh competed in two bouts and Wang fenced in one bout.
• Sabre - BROWN 8 VC 1
  • Paine scored a victory along with Mark and Colby battled in three bouts.

Round 6 - Vassar 15 Hunter 12

• Epee - VC 6 HUNT 3
  • Mukherjee and Scherk scored two wins each along with Cacace and Ungurianu each adding a victory.
• Foil - HUNT 6 VC 3
  • North earned two victories while Gadiyaram tallied a win.
  • Wang battled in three bouts.
• Sabre - VC 6 HUNT 3
  • Paine earned three wins while Geiger scored two wins and Mark added a victory.

Round 7 - Vassar 25 Yeshiva 2

• Epee - VC 9 YU 0
  • Mittman, Cacace and Mukhejee each posted perfect 3-0 marks.
• Foil - VC 7 YU 2
  • North and Gadiyaram each posted undefeated 3-0 rounds.
  • Huynh earned a victory and Wang battled in one bout.
• Sabre - VC 9 YU 0
  • Colby, Geiger and Mark all scored three victories.
