Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Men's Swimming and Diving team opened competition at the three-day Bomber Invitational at Ithaca on Friday, ranking sixth out of eight teams with 80 points.
Daniel Furman (Secaucus, NJ) posted the best individual finish of the evening for the Brewers, placing 14
th in the 1,650-yard freestyle.
For The Brewers
- Furman completed the meet's longest event in a time of 18:31.45 on Friday, good for the 14th position.
- First Year Laszlo Lawless (Monterey, CA) also turned in a strong swim for Vassar in the 1,650-yard freestyle, taking the 18th position in a time of 20:17.57.
- Vassar entered a pair of relay teams in Friday's 800-yard freestyle relay event, with the 'A' squad placing 11th and the 'B' entry swimming to a 13th-place finish.
- The 'A' team of Logan Seiss (Downingtown, PA), Jacob Collette (Milford, CT), Andrew Song (Wellesley, MA) and Lucas Jauregui (Barrington, RI) touched out in a time of 7:27.94.
- The 'B' relay of Furman, Matthew Short (Scituate, MA), James Hatch (Los Altos, CA) and Croix Horsley (Cinnaminson, NJ) swam to a time of 7:39.92 on Friday.
