Providence, RI - The Vassar College Women's Fencing team headed to Brown University for the two-day Northeast Fencing Conference meet on Saturday and Sunday as the Brewers defeated conference foe Wheaton along with earning a victory over non-conference opponent Wayne State.

Round One - MIT 23 VC 4

• Epee - MIT 8 VC 1
  • Senior Olivia Barnes scored a win while seniors Addy Xie and Danielle Golden each fenced in three bouts.
• Foil - MIT 7 VC 2
  • Senior Nicole Ezell and first year Sushama Gadiyaram earned a victory while first year Zoe North battled in three bouts.
• Sabre - MIT 8 VC 1
  • First year Lily Paine tallied a victory along with first year Vivian Wei and senior Kira Wheeler competing in three bouts each.

Round Two - Brandeis 16 VC 11

• Epee - VC 6 BRAN 3
  • Sophomore Katrina Zeng and Barnes each scored two victories along with first year Nika Ungurianu tallying a victory.
  • Xie fenced in one bout in round two for Vassar.
• Foil - BRAN 8 VC 1
  • North recorded a victory while first year Kelsey Wang and Ezell battled in three bouts.
• Sabre - BRAN 5 VC 4
  • Wheeler tallied two victories along with Wei and Paine each recording a win.
  • Sophomore Karina Mangru battled in one bout.

Round Three - Brown 20 VC 7

• Epee - Brown 5 VC 4
  • Xie scored two victories while Barnes and Zeng each earned a win.
• Foil - Brown 7 VC 2
  • North and Gadiyaram collected a victory each along with Ezell competing in three bouts.
• Sabre - Brown 8 VC 1
  • Wheeler tallied a win while Paine and Wei each battled in three bouts.

Round Four - BC 24 VC 3

• Epee - BC 6 VC 3
  • Golden recorded two wins along with senior Naomi Hirsch scored a victory.
  • Xie battled in three bouts while Barnes competed in two.
• Foil - BC 9 VC 0
  • North and Wang each fenced in three bouts.
  • Sophomore Elena Rosenmayr battled in two bouts and Ezell fenced in one bout. 
• Sabre - BC 9 VC 0
  • Wheeler, Paine and Wei all battled in three bouts apiece.

Round Five - Tufts 18 VC 9

• Epee - VC 5 TUF 4
  • Barnes earned two wins while Ungurianu, Xie and Hirsch each scored a victory.
• Foil - TUF 7 VC 2
  • Gadiyaram earned two wins while Ezell and North each competed in three bouts.
• Sabre - TUF 7 VC 2
  • Wheeler and Wei each earned a victory along with Paine battling in three bouts.

Round Six - VC 16 Wayne State 11

• Epee - WSU 6 VC 3
  • Zeng earned two wins while Ungurianu tallied a win.
  • Hirsch battled in three bouts. 
• Foil - VC 5 WSU 4
  • Wang and Ezell each picked up two wins along with Gadiyaram adding a victory.
• Sabre - VC 8 WSU 1
  • Paine and Wheeler posted undefeated 3-0 rounds while Mangru scored two victories.

Round Eight - Wellesley 17 VC 10

• Epee - VC 5 WEL 4
  • Xie scored a perfect 3-0 mark while Zeng and Barnes each tallied a victory.
• Foil - WEL 8 VC 1
  • North registered a victory along with three bouts battled each from Rosenmayr and Ezell.
• Sabre - WEL 5 VC 4
  • Wei and Paine earned two victories apiece while Wheeler competed in three bouts.

Round Nine - VC 24 Wheaton 3

• Epee - VC 6 WHE 3
  • North, Ezell and Wang all picked up two victories.
• Foil - VC 9 WHE 0
  • Zeng, Hirsch and Golden all recorded three wins apiece.
• Sabre - VC 9 WHE 0
  • Paine, Wheeler and Wei scored three victories apiece.

Round 10 - SHU 14 VC 13

• Epee - SHU 6 VC 3
  • Barnes, Ungurianu and Xie registered a win each.
• Foil - VC 5 SHU 4
  • North and Ezell each earned two wins while Wang tallied a victory.
• Sabre - VC 5 SHU 4
  • Wei and Paine scored two victories apiece along with Wheeler recording a win.

Round 11 - Denison 18 VC 9

• Epee - DEN 5 VC 4
  • Zeng tallied two victories along with Ungurianu and Hirsch scoring a win each.
• Foil - DEN 7 VC 2
  • Ezell collected two wins while North and Rosenmayr battled in two bouts.
• Sabre - DEN 6 VC 3
  • Wei recorded two victories along with Paine adding a victory and Wheeler battling in three bouts.

Round 12 - Wagner 19 VC 8

  • Barnes, Xie and Zeng each collected a victory.
• Foil - WAG 7 VC 2
  • North and Ezell recorded a win each along with Wang battling in three bouts.
• Sabre - WAG 6 VC 3
  • Wheeler, Paine and Wei all earned a win.
