TROY, N.Y. - The Liberty League has announced its weekly honors and Vassar student-athlete
Maximus Albanese has been named to the weekly honor roll. It marks his first honor of the season following a monster game where he helped lead the Brewers to their first win of the season at Skidmore.
Albanese scored a match-best and career-high six goals at the Brewers defeated the Thoroughbreds by an 11-10 margin last week. Four of his tallies game in the second half of the game, including three straight goals in the fourth quarter that tied the contest and pushed Vassar into the lead. Two of his goals also came on the man-up.
Through four games this season, Albanese leads the Brewers in scoring with 11 goals and four assists for 15 points. A team-high four of his goals have been on the man-up, while adding four ground balls and a caused turnover.
Among the Liberty League's best, Albanese ranks fourth in goals per game with a 3.25 average, while also ranking fifth in points per contest with 3.75.
Vassar returns to action on May 1st in a 2pm contest at Ithaca College.
