POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - While Families Weekend looked a little different on the Vassar College campus last weekend due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the feeling of camaraderie and reuniting was still alive and well as the Vassar men's and women's swimming & diving teams hosted a virtual reunion on Saturday. Along with current team members, assistant coach
Andrew Dragunas and head coach
Lisl Prater-Lee, the Brewers welcomed back over 35 alums ranging as far back as the Class of 2003, to the most recent grads of 2020.
The group was welcomed by Susan Quade, the Senior Associate Director for Alumnae/i Education and Affinity Programs at the Alumnae/i Association of Vassar College (AAVC), along with
Harrison Taylor '20, a former member of the team who is now the Assistant Director for Alumnae/i Engagement for the AAVC. In addition to the larger welcome session and gathering, the attendees also participated in Breakout Rooms within the Zoom platform, speaking with others who had the same majors during their time at Vassar. Good conversation, memories and laughs were shared by all.
Some of the quotes from the day's event were captured in various breakout rooms, including "Keep your options open, don't disregard fields"Â - Sammy Stone '19, "Gap years before med school: don't do anything to just check a box. Do things you are passionate about"Â - Zoe Fullerton '15
