Last Time Out
Despite another strong performance by Liam Moriarty, the Brewers were not able to maintain an early 2-1 lead and fell to St. Lawrence, 14-5. Moriarty racked up a total of three points, with two goals and one assist. Goalies Brandon Crecco and Matthew Boyd split time in net and were under attack all night, saving the majority of St. Lawrence's 30 shots on goal. Sam Houston-Read, Brandon DeStasio and Noah Parson were all able to find the back of the net against the Saints' stalwart defense, but it wasn't enough, as Vassar took the loss.

A Look at the Williams Ephs (7-5, 4-4 NESCAC)
The Ephs have won their last two games, squeaking past Hamilton 10-9 and defeating Colby College 17-14. The squad is an offensive powerhouse, and they haven't scored fewer than eight goals in a game this season. They're averaging an astounding 13.5 goals per game and take nearly 50 shots per game. Michael Fahey and Thomas Fowler are tied for the team lead in goals at 34, and Fahey also leads the team in points with 46. The key for Vassar will be to find a way to keep Williams' top goal scorers at bay and then capitalize on the team's 50.3 save percentage.

Against Williams All-Time
Vassar is looking to seize its first ever win against Williams on Wednesday, as the Brewers are 0-2 thus far when facing the Ephs. Williams hadn't showed up on Vassar's schedule until 2014, when the Ephs beat Vassar and then defeated them again in 2015. This year, Vassar is looking to change the outcome.

Liberty League Standings
Vassar remains at fourth in the Liberty League Standings, ahead of Union College (7-6, 2-3), Skidmore College (5-8, 1-4), Bard College (4-8, 0-4) and Clarkson University (3-9, 1-4), and behind Rochester Institute of Technology (12-0, 5-0), St. Lawrence University (12-1, 4-1) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (9-2, 4-1). The loss against St. Lawrence puts Vassar at 2-2 in the conference, having already lost to third-place RPI, while beating both sixth-place Skidmore and last-place Clarkson.

Milestones
Leading Vassar scorer Noah Parson reached the thirty-goal milestone last Saturday, increasing his point total to 34, while Sam Houston-Read quietly reached twenty goals, cementing his place as the team's second highest scorer. Liam Moriarty also now has thirty points on the season after his three-point performance against St. Lawrence. Moriarty leads the team in assists with 18.

Honor Rollin'
Liam Moriarty earned a spot on the Liberty League Honor Roll on Monday after securing nine points in Vassar's 1-1 week. Against Farmingdale State, Moriarty potted two goals and dished out a season-high four assists, He assisted on the first three goals, as the Brewers never trailed in the 12-8 win April 13. He then followed that performance with two goals and an assist against St. Lawrence three days later. Moriarty has now tallied at least two points in all but three games this year.

Efficiency Is Key
The Brewers have been selective with their shots, which has paid off for them. In their two most recent wins, against Clarkson and Farmingdale State, they've come out victorious despite being outshot by 11 in the first game and 15 in the second.

Saves The Day!
Opponents haven't been easy on Vassar defenders, but the Brewers have responded accordingly and are ranked second in the conference with 12.83 saves per game. Goalkeeper Brandon Crecco has been a major reason for this feat, averaging 11.50 saves over 10 games. Matthew Boyd has been efficient in net as well, holding the highest saver percentage in the conference at 61.9.

In The Cage
Matthew Boyd picked up his second win of the season, blocking a season-high 15 shots in Vassar's 12-8 win at Farmingdale State on April 13. The freshman surrendered just one goal in the first quarter, as the Brewers jumped out to an early 4-1 lead.

Adaptable DeStasio
Brandon DeStasio dominates all over the field, and he has the numbers to back it up. The captain currently paces the team with 37 ground balls, showing his importance on defense. But he's also shown his reliability on offense with a total of 25 points on 14 goals and 11 assists.

Pressing Prez
Eric Prezioso has been solid on defense, averaging 1.33 caused turnovers per game, good for eighth most in the Liberty League. He has a team-high 16 forced turnovers as well as 17 ground balls on the season.

Up Next
Vassar men's lacrosse heads back home to face RIT (Saturday, April 23 at 12 p.m.) before playing its final home game of the regular season against Bard (Wednesday, April 27 at 6 p.m.)
