2017: Finished his career with another strong campaign as a senior...two-year captain that once again was a rock for VC in the midfield...finished fifth on the team in points with 24, scoring 18 times while assisting on six other goals...took 75 shots on the year, which was second-most on the team...picked up 23 ground balls, causing five turnovers...played in all 16 games for the Brewers...scored at least one goal in 14 of the Brewers' 16 games...chalked up one hat trick on the year, scoring three goals in a huge win at Clarkson University...chalked up three points in a win over Bard College April 26, scoring twice and dishing out a helper...in an 11-9 win over RPI, drew a huge two-minute non-releasable penalty, which helped VC rally for the win as he scored two goals and assisted on another...chalked up a season-best four ground balls against Wesleyan on March 14...caused two turnovers and scored once against Mount Saint Mary College March 8..in a 10-8 win over Colby, finished with one goal and one assist...finishes his career with the fifth most ground balls in program history with 150...also ninth on the all-time assists list with 35 for his career. 

2016:  Liberty League All-Academic...Captained the 2016 squad... Appeared in all 16 games and started 15...earned 18 goals and 16 assists, totaling 34 points...totaled a .217 shot percentage and a .470 shot-on-goal percentage...grabbed 48 ground balls, leading the team...forced two turnovers...scored three goals against and grabbed four ground balls against Montclair State on March 2nd...scored one goal and earned three assists against Skidmore on March 26th...totaled two goals and two assists against Clarkson on April 9th...finished off the season with two goals and two assists against Union on April 30th.

2015: Liberty League All-Academic…earned one start while appearing in 13 games…tallied seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points…opened the season on seven-game point streak…grabbed 28 ground balls…caused five turnovers…had the game-winning goal and an assist in season debut vs. Manhattanville (2/25)…posted a goal and an assist against No. 14 Montclair State (3/4)…finished with two assists and two ground balls in three straight games against Western Connecticut (3/12), Colorado College (3/15), and Adams State (3/17)…scored a goal and scooped five ground balls vs. No. 18 RPI (3/21)…notched a goal, a helper and a season-high 6 groundballs against Mt. St. Mary (NY) (3/25)…posted a goal and an assist against Swarthmore (4/29).    

2014: Starting in all but five of the 15 games this season...tied for second with 51 ground balls...was 15-of-30 on faceoffs...recorded his first three-point day against Western Connecticut with two goals and one assist...finished the season with seven scores and three assists...caused six turnovers.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered two years as a Chaminade Flyer...also lettered and started playing ice hockey...2012-13 Ice Hockey Most Valuable Goalie of CHSHL and First-Team All-Star of CHSHL...National Honor Society, Social Studies Club and Economics Club member.

PERSONAL: Parents are Richard and Kathleen DeStasio...siblings are Hailey and Grace...picked Vassar over SUNY Geneseo, Drew University, Ohio Wesleyan University and Albright College...chose Vassar because, "Vassar provides great academic opportunity."...major in economics.
