Last Time Out
The Brewers notched their first win over the Golden Knights of Clarkson University in program history at home Saturday afternoon, 10-9. Noah Parson netted four goals for Vassar, including the game-winner with 1:11 remaining in regulation, as five Brewers found the back of the net. James Thomas and Brandon DeStasio added two apiece, while Liam Moriarty and Chris Billups each tacked on a goal. Goalkeeper Brandon Crecco earned the win with a career-best 24 saves, including one with six seconds remaining to secure the Brewer victory. The game unfolded in runs, with neither team leading by more than three the entire contest.

A Look at the Farmingdale State Rams (9-1, 2-0 Skyline)
Farmingdale State has found much success this season, with its lone loss coming March 5 at the hands of Salve Regina. The Rams most recently trounced Dominican College (NY), a Division II opponent, 14-4, on Sunday afternoon. Michael Cegielski scored a game-high five goals and added an assist, while Patrick Cowcer and Tyler Rifice recorded two goals apiece. James Reiser, Brad Rapone, Dan Caliendo, Ryan McArdle and James Kirk each tacked on a goal as well. Goalkeeper Thomas Fallon earned the win with 14 stops in net. The Rams outshot the Chargers, 42-36, and picked up more ground balls than them, 39-30.

Through 10 games, Farmingdale State has 107 goals, 66 assists, 13 man-up goals in 42 opportunities, two man-down goals, 338 ground balls and 125 caused turnovers. Cegielski leads the Rams with 26 goals, while he and Mike Curry each lead with 11 assists. Nick Capone leads with 34 ground balls, and Matthew Brendel with 21 created turnovers.

Against Farmingdale State All-Time
Vassar is 4-4 versus Farmingdale State since their first meeting in 2004. The Brewers hope to halt a two-game skid after falling 7-5 in 2011 and most recently 13-8 in 2012.

Liberty League Standings
Vassar sits fourth in the Liberty League Standings, ahead of Union College (6-5, 1-2), Skidmore College (5-6, 1-2), Bard College (4-6, 0-3) and Clarkson University (2-8, 0-3), and behind Rochester Institute of Technology (11-0, 4-0), Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (8-2, 3-1) and St. Lawrence University (10-1, 2-1). So far in conference play, the Brewers have beaten the Thoroughbreds and the Golden Knights, with their lone Liberty League loss coming at the hands of the Engineers.

Noah Stopping Him
Noah Parson was tabbed the Liberty League Performer of the Week on Monday after totaling 14 points in the Brewers' 2-0 week. In Vassar's 15-6 win over Drew on April 5, Parson potted five goals with three assists. Four days later, he followed that performance with four goals, including the game-winner, and two assists in Vassar's 10-9 win over Clarkson. Parson either scored or assisted on the Brewers' first four goals against the Golden Knights. His start was superb, but his finish was even more memorable. With 1:11 on the clock and the game tied at 10-all, Parson created his own shot to lift the Brewers to their first program win over the Golden Knights. Vassar's all-time scorer currently leads the team with 27 goals on the season.

Filling the Boyd
Matt Boyd became the fourth Brewer to be named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week this season, after securing his first collegiate win April 5. Boyd tallied 11 saves in Vassar's 15-6 victory over Drew. The freshman was particularly impressive in the second half, holding the Rangers to one goal, as the Brewers pulled away for the win. Prior to that game, Boyd had totaled six saves through three games.

The Rookie
Freshman James Thomas has emerged as an integral part of the offense, having scored in all six games he's played in since his debut March 15. Even after missing the first four games with an injury, Thomas is fifth on the team with 11 goals on the season. Thomas is the only player in the conference to have been named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week more than once. He earned the honor for the weeks of March 21 and March 28.

Crecco in the Cage
Goalkeeper Brandon Crecco has created a more dominant role for himself this season with the Brewers. The junior, who totaled 35 saves last year, made a career-best 24 stops in Vassar's 10-9 win over Clarkson on April 9. Crecco held down the Brewers defensively, especially late in the contest. Teammate Noah Parson had just given Vassar an 10-9 edge when Clarkson's leading scorer, Ryan St. Croix, took a shot at the Brewer net. With six seconds remaining in regulation, Crecco made the save to secure Vassar's first win over Clarkson in program history. Crecco averages 11.78 saves per contest, good for second most in the conference.

Vote for Prez
Eric Prezioso leads the Brewers with 14 caused turnovers, with 14 ground balls to match. The junior forced a season-best five turnovers versus Swarthmore on March 5 and has picked up two ground balls in five contests so far this season. Prezioso has forced at least one turnover and picked up at least one ground ball in all but two games.

Ground Ballin'
Brandon DeStasio leads Vassar with 35 ground balls. His 3.50 average ranks him ninth best in the Liberty League. With seven games remaining in the regular season, the junior captain is on track to beat the 51 ground balls he collected his freshman season.

Helping Hands
Vassar is the only school to have three players rank in the Liberty League Top 10 for assists per game. Sam Houston-Read averages 1.50 assists for fourth best, Liam Moriarty is right behind him with 1.44, and Noah Parson averages 1.20 for seventh most in the conference.

All-Time Leader
Senior captain Noah Parson became the all-time leading scorer for the Vassar men's lacrosse team when he scored his 92nd career goal on March 5. Parson's seventh goal of the season pushed him past former teammate Max Herman (class of 2014) in the record books. With 27 goals on the season, Parson currently has 126 in his career. And with 39 points on the season, the senior is Vassar's all-time leader in career points with 160. The record was previously held by Herman, who finished his collegiate career with 135.

Up Next
The Vassar men's lacrosse team competes at St. Lawrence University (Saturday, April 16 at noon) before concluding its three-game road stint at Williams College (Wednesday, April 20 at 6 p.m.).
