Game One
Vassar started out the first game with a bang as freshman leadoff hitter

However, Saint starter Troy Lassial (Ogdensburg, NY/Ogdensburg Free Academy) buckled down after Ringold's blast, allowing just one more run in his six-inning appearance.
The Saints took the lead for good in the bottom of the second inning with three runs on three hits, all extra-base hits. Vassar faced a manageable four-run deficit heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, but seven Saint runs put the seven-inning game out of reach. The Saints batted around, bringing 13 runners to the plate.
Ford led the Saint bats, going 4-for-5 and falling a home run short of hitting for the cycle. Harris had three hits on the day, including a double, while Carrigg and Ryan Duff (Concord, MA/Cushing Academy) added two hits apiece. Joe Shehata (Orangeburg, NY/Pearl River) had three RBI.

It was a short-lived lead, however, as the Saints struck for five in the bottom of the inning. St. Lawrence led off with four consecutive hits en route to notching seven hits in the inning. Duff had the big shot with a two RBI double, and Shehata chipped in with a double of his own.
