Three Brewers Garner D3Baseball.com All-Region III Accolades, Two Earn ABCA All-Region Honors

Poughkeepsie, NY - D3baseball.com announced its All-Region selections on Tuesday morning as the Vassar College Baseball team saw three student-athletes score their first All-Region accolades. Senior outfielder Jensen Bergman scored All-Region III Second Team honors, junior left hander Will Darrell was selected to the Third Team and senior right hander Addison Lee garnered Third Team honors. This marks the first time since 2014 that three Brewers were selected to the D3baseball.com All-Region III Teams.

The 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year were also announced on Tuesday as Bergman tallied Second Team All-Region III honors along with Darrell earning Third Team All-Region accolades.

Bergman, who was named a Liberty League First Team selection this season, put together one of the best careers in Vassar program history as he closed his senior season with a career-high .404 batting average, reached base in all 33 games this season and also set the program single season record for triples (8), slugging percentage (.670), on-base percentage (.547) and walks (30). Earlier this season, Bergman also broke the record for triples in a career and holds the record with 18 over his four-year Brewer career. Bergman also made history as the first Brewer to hit for the cycle as he went 5-for-5 in the victory on March 29 and earned the program's first ever D3baseball.com Team of the Week honor. The senior finishes his illustrious career as the program's leader in triples while finishing the top-10 all-time in runs (third), hits (sixth), home runs (seventh), RBI (fifth), total bases (fifth), batting average (seventh), slugging percentage (third), OBP (second) and walks (fifth).

Darrell, who earned his first Liberty League Second Team citation in 2026, fired a career-high 50 innings in 2026, registering a career-best 3.24 ERA and also struck out a career-best 49 hitters. Darrell led the team in wins with five this season and will enter his senior season ranked fourth all-time with 12, trailing the Adam Erkis and Chris Beattie who each had 15 career wins on the mound. Against Lesley on March 14, Darrell fired five hitless innings and struck out a career-high 12 hitters to earn his first win of the season. Darrell's ERA of 3.24 ranks ninth-best in a single season and finished the season with the sixth-highest strikeouts in a single season with 49. Darrell also finished the 2026 campaign with a .228 batting average against, which is the sixth-best in a single season. The junior will enter his final season with the Brewers holding the lowest batting average against at .225 currently along with sitting eighth all-time in strikeouts with 130 for his career.

Lee closes out his Vassar career with his first All-Conference Third Team nod following an impressive return from injury as the senior fired 46.1 innings and pitched to a career-best 3.69 earned run average. Lee also recorded career-bests in batting average against (.243), hits allowed (42), runs (30), earned runs (19), walks (14) and strikeouts (52). Lee fired his first career complete game against Bard on April 4 while striking out a career-high 10 hitters in his final start against RIT on May 1 and closed the 2026 campaign with the fourth-highest strikeout total in a single season with 52. Lee finishes his Vassar career ranked third all-time in strikeouts with 145, sixth all-time in ERA at 4.90 and tied for third all-time in batting average against at .271.

Vassar concluded the season with a 13-20 overall record, including 7-7 against Liberty League foes, and advanced to the Liberty League Crossover Series for the fourth straight season.
