Vassar Women:
In a four-way dual meet at Wellesley College the Vassar women earned their first victory of the season verses Clark (146-134) while losing to Wellesley (103-180) and Wheaton (96-193). The tough competition elicited great races from the Vassar women who returned from their training trip two days ago. Early in the meet Ilene Goodman stepped up to swim a lifetime best in the 1000 yd free (12:08.64, 7th). The 200 yd back was a pivotal event for Vassar in their quest to beat Clark as Vassar's Emily Love (2:12.50), Nyanza Rothman (2:23.60), and Melisa Brower (2:25.20) teamed up to take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Stacey Mack raced Wellesley's Emilie Mitten right to the end grabbing a season-best 2:08.87 (8th) in the 200 yd free.

"We competed well today,” said head coach Lisl Prater-Lee. “Given the amount of training and the travel time the past couple of days, we had a lot of enthusiasm and energy at the meet. We proved that we can swim fast even when we are tired. Now we have a couple of days to rest, regroup and get ready for Trinity!"
