New York, NY - The Vassar College Men's Fencing team traveled to New York City on Wednesday evening as the Brewers squared off with host NYU and Columbia at the annual George Kolombatovich Historical Meet at the John Paulson Center.

Round One - NYU 21 Vassar 6

• Epee - VC 5 NYU 4
  • First year Jing Seto scored three victories to lead the epee squad to a victory.
  • Senior Brian Li tallied two wins along with sophomore Alexander North recording a victory.
• Foil - NYU 9 VC 0
  • Sophomore Kahlil Salome, sophomore Nico Lotto and first year Aaron Taplin each fenced in three bouts.
• Sabre - NYU 8 VC 1
  • Senior Oliver Berger earned the lone victory in the round.
  • Sophomore Karthik Shankar and first year Luca Savoy each battled in three bouts.

Round Two - Columbia 18 Vassar 9

• Epee - VC 6 COL 3
  • Seto posted another unbeaten round at 3-0 along with sophomore Harper Jamison adding two wins.
  • Li registered a win.
• Foil - COL 7 VC 2
  • Taplin and Salome both scored a victory.
  • Lotto fenced in three bouts.
• Sabre - COL 8 VC 1
  • Berger tallied a victory while Savoy and Shankar competed in three bouts apiece
