Hartford, CT – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team opened the 2026 portion of the schedule on Tuesday, posting an impressive 209-75 win over Mount Holyoke in a tri-meet with host Trinity (CT).

Tuesday's split moves Vassar's overall record through eight decisions to 4-4.
For The Brewers
- Hoagland bested the field in the 500-yard freestyle on Tuesday (5:33.11) and added a third-place finish for the Brewers in the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.36).
- McLaughlin posted runner-up finishes for Vassar in both the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.73) and 100-yard freestyle (55.26).
- Ford also had a strong meet for the Brewers on Tuesday, touching out second in the 50-yard freestyle (25.33) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:14.73). Ford also claimed a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.79).
- Senior Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ) placed third on Tuesday in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:11.82) and the fifth in the 100-yard freestyle (56.54).
- Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) turned in a pair of third-place swims for Vassar, posting a time of 2:15.33 in the 200-yard butterfly and 1:00.26 in the 100-yard butterfly.
- First Year Clare Baker (Lafayette, CA) placed third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.06) and fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:16.30).
- Stella Petersen (Hockessin, DE) touched out second for Vassar in the 500-yard freestyle (5:41.67) and fourth in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:51.32).
- Izzy Holmes (New York, NY) earned a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly (2:18.66).
- Lara Chebotarev (East Longmeadow, MA) scored fifth-place finishes in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events.
- Lilly Masters (Bloomfield Village, MI) placed fifth in both the 200-yard and 50-yard freestyle races.
- First Year Alaina Desautels (Arlington, VA) placed fifth in the 100-yard backstroke and posted a time of 2:19.42 in the 200-yard backstroke, topping her previous lifetime best by six seconds.
- In diving, First Year Graciela Leahy (Columbus, OH) was fourth off of both boards, posting a score of 120.00 in the 1-meter event and 96.82 off the 3-meter board.
- Vassar's 400-yard freestyle relay team closed the event with the team of McLaughlin, Masters, Hoagland and Wiener finishing third in a time of 3:51.06.
- The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Baker, Ford, Li and McLaughlin opened the meet with fourth-place swim, showing a time of 1:54.24.
