The USFCA recognizes National Collegiate All-Americans for outstanding performances at NCAA Championships. The top-12 finishers in each event, regardless of Division, are recognized based on their final placement at the competition. In addition, the USFCA recognizes the top Division III fencers in the country with Division III All-American awards. The recipients of these awards are determined by an evaluation of their regular season performance and postseason performance, including both NCAA Regionals and NCAA Championships.
North, who was named a USFCA All-Northeast Region Epee selection last week, finished 12th overall in epee at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships as he totaled 10 total victories to advance into the final pool of the Regional. The first year also posted a record of 16-2 over the two days at the Northeast Fencing Conference meet to earn the NFC Fencer of the Year (first since Eli Polston in 2016) and NFC Rookie of the Year titles. North also reached the individual final at the NEIFC The Big One this season.
Weise, who was also named a USFCA All-Northeast Region Epee selection last week, earned a 14th place finish in epee at the Regional Championship following five wins and made it to the penultimate round of the Championship. Weise also collected NFC Second Team All-Star recognition following his efforts at the NFC Meet.
Sagardi Diaz, who garnered USFCA All-Northeast Region Sabre honors, secured a 16th place finish in sabre at the Regional Championships as he totaled five wins and advanced to the penultimate round. Sagardi Diaz also helped Vassar finish fifth overall at the NEIFC Team Championships, where he tallied 11 total victories over two rounds.
