Brewers Excel Friday Morning At Bomber Invitational

Brewers qualify for seven ‘A’ finals Friday night

Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving had a strong morning swim on Friday in the preliminary session of the Bomber Invitational. Seven swimmers qualified for 'A' finals for Vassar, including Anna Little (North Huntingdon, PA) who was second fastest in the 400-yard individual medley and third quickest in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Little had a big morning session for the Brewers, moving on the 'A' final in the 400-yard individual medley (4:46.60) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.98).
First Year Abigail Ford (Califon, NJ) and junior Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) will swim in the 'A' final of the 100-yard butterfly Friday night after qualifying seventh and eighth with times of 59.78 seconds and 59.80 seconds.
Li will also be in action Friday evening in the 'B' final of the 100-yard backstroke after swimming a time of 1:02.62 Friday morning.
Two seniors swam into the 'A' final of the 200-yard freestyle in Friday's prelim session with Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ) qualifying fourth in 1:56.99 and Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) qualifying sixth in a time of 1:58.45.
Senior Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ) and First Year Clare Baker (Lafayette, CA) both qualified for the 'A' final in the 100-yard backstroke after posting times of 1:00.37 and 1:00.18, respectively.
First Years Izzy Holmes (New York, NY) and Stella Petersen (Hockessin, DE) each qualified for the 'B' final in the 400-yard individual medley on Friday with prelim times of 4:57.34 and 5:05.59.
Senior Stephanie Norris (Santa Barbara, CA) will swim in the 'B' final of the 100-yard breaststroke following a prelim time of 1:15:67 and the 'C' final of the 100-yard butterfly after posting a prelim time of 1:02.62.
Lilly Masters (Bloomfield Village, MI) swam into the 'B' final of the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:02.38.
Alaina Desautels (Arlington, VA) will compete in the 'B' final in the 100-yard backstroke following a prelim time of 1"03.24 Friday morning.
Sophie Tran (Hillsborough, NJ) and Eva D'Addario (Baltimore, MD) will both swim in the 'C' final Friday night in the 100-yard breaststroke after posting prelim times of 1:16.61 and 1:16.92.
The 800-freestyle relay team of Masters, Little, Holmes and Li swam to a fourth-place finish Friday morning, touching out in a time of 8:26.03.

What's Next

Vassar returns to the pool Friday evening for the final session which gets underway at 6:00 p.m.
