Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team had a strong second day at the 2025 Bomber Invitational, rising to third-place in the team standings with 794 points. Vassar posted nine top-10 individual finishes on Friday, led by a runner-up finish from
Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ) in the 200-yard freestyle and a third-place finish from
Anna Little (North Huntingdon, PA) in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Ithaca leads the team standings with 1,436 points and is followed by Rochester (1,331.5), Vassar (794), Smith (727), Union (517.5), William Smith (418) and Alfred (330).
For The Brewers
- Wiener continued a strong meet for Vassar, scoring a runner-up finish for the second straight day. Wiener took second on Friday in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:54.80.
- Little scored a pair of top-10 finishes for Vassar on Friday, placing third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:07.17 and sixth in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:53.45.
- Senior Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) swam to a fifth-place finish for the Brewers in the 200-yard freestyle, showing a time of 1:57.59.
- Fellow senior Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ) closed out a strong night with a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke, touching out in a time of 59.88 seconds.
- First Year Abigail Ford (Califon, NJ) was fifth in the 100-yard butterfly, producing a time of 59.23 seconds for the Brewers.
- Classmate Clare Baker (Lafayette, CA) took the seventh position for Vassar in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.42.
- Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) swam to an eighth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.13 and added a 16th-place swim in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:04.24.
- Izzy Holmes (New York, NY) touched out 10th for the Brewers in the 400-yard individual medley, showing a time of 4:53.10, taking better than four seconds off of Friday's prelim time.
- Stephanie Norris (Santa Barbara, CA) was 16th for Vassar in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.65) and added an 18th place swim in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.73).
- Stella Petersen (Hockessin, DE) recorded a 13th-place finish for Vassar in the 400-yard individual medley, showing a time of 5:01.53, taking just under four seconds off of Friday's prelim time.
- Lilly Masters (Bloomfield Village, MI) was 15th in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:02.76 while Alaina Desautels (Arlington, VA) took the 15th position in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:03.42.
- Eva D'Addario (Baltimore, MD) and Sophie Tran (Hillsborough, NJ) recorded times of 1:14.05 and 1:16.23 for the Brewers in the 100-yard breaststroke.
- The 800-yard freestyle relay team of Hoagland, McLaughlin, Petersen and Wiener closed the day with a third-place swim in a time of 8:02.52.
- The second squad of Masters, Little, Holmes and Li came home 11th in 8:26.03.
- In Friday's opening event, the 200-yard medley relay team of Ford, Little, Li and McLaughlin posted a fourth-place finish in 1:50.52.
- The team of Baker, Tran, Holmes and Masters touched out 11th in the medley race in a time of 1:57.25.
