Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team concluded the 14
th Annual Bomber Invitational Saturday with a fourth-place finish after totaling 1,115 points. Senior
Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ) scored a runner-up finish for the Brewers in the 1,650-yard freestyle.
Ithaca took the team crown over the three-day event with 2,307 points and was followed by Rochester (2,037.5), Smith (1,135), Vassar (1,115), Union (737.5), William Smith (648) and Alfred (490).
For The Brewers
- Wiener swam to her third runner-up finish of the week on Saturday, touching out in a time of 18:17.80 in the 1,650-yard freestyle.
- Anna Little (North Huntingdon, PA) finished off a strong weekend with a third-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke, showing a time of 2:25.73.
- Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) touched out fourth for Vassar in the 200-yard butterfly, posting a time of 2:09.96.
- Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ) also turned in a strong swim in the 1,650-yard freestyle, placing fifth in a time of 18:21.74.
- First Year Clare Baker (Lafayette, CA) swam a time of 2:12.00 in the 200-yard backstroke, good for a seventh-place overall finish.
- Senior Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) was eighth in the 100-yard freestyle, touching out in a time of 53.88 seconds.
- Izzy Holmes (New York, NY) scored a ninth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing the race in 2:14.74.
- Eva D'Addario (Baltimore, MD) scored a 10th-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke, showing a time of 2:38.79.
- Abigail Ford (Califon, NJ), Lilly Masters (Bloomfield Village, MI) and Alaina Desautels (Arlington, VA) swam times of 54.50 seconds, 55.69 seconds and 56.41 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle, good for the 12th, 19th and 22nd positions.
- Stella Petersen (Hockessin, DE) was 14th in the 1,650-yard freestyle with Abigail Mirick (Stoneham, MA) swimming to a 23rd-place finish.
- The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Hoagland, Ford, Wiener and McLaughlin finished third in a time of 3:38.38.
- The quartet of Desautels, Masters, Baker and Little scored a ninth-place finish on Saturday with a time of 3:43.47.
What's Next
- Vassar returns to competition on January 13 with a trip to Hartford, CT to take on Trinity (CT) and Mount Holyoke.
